Lt Col Kevin F. White, a retired traditional reservist, is currently a candidate for U.S. Congress Ohio district 8. Lt Col White served as a Command rated C-130 tactical airlift pilot assigned to the 731st Airlift Squadron-302nd Airlift Wing Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado until retirement 21 July 2015.

The son of Mr. Paul F. White and Mrs. Kay F. Bond, Lt Col White hails from the great state of Ohio; born in Akron he spent his formative years growing up in the Dayton area and graduated with honors from Beavercreek High School class of 1982. Upon graduation, Lt Col White was selected for NROTC scholarship and attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the prestigious Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. In 1983 Lt Col White transferred his NROTC scholarship to The Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio, before attending plebe summer with the United States Naval Academy Class of 1987, Annapolis MD. Earning his Bachelors of Science degree, Lt Col Kevin F. White graduated Annapolis as a newly commissioned Ensign in the United States Navy on 20 May 1987. Lt Col White earned his Navy Wings of Gold graduating pilot training on 21 July 1989 as a designated “Unrestricted Naval Aviator”. A highly decorated, combat tested Air Force tactical-airlift pilot, Lt Col White is a senior aviator amassing more than 8,000 flying hours in numerous military and civil jet, propeller and rotary type aircraft. His service to country includes six tours of duty in the Global War on Terrorism flying over 300 combat missions totaling in excess of 900 combat flight hours. As a rated naval aviator, Lt Col White supported carrier-based global maritime strike-air operations. He has held numerous key positions of responsibility at the squadron and wing levels in both the United States Navy and Air Force. As an U.S. Navy instructor pilot Lt Col White presided over two major command leadership positions: Training Squadron Six Student Control Officer- direct supervision / counsel for all TRARON SIX (Training Squadron Six) student naval aviators and the CNATRA (Chief Naval Air Training) Familiarization Stage Manager- responsible for standardization, program management and training metrics for the Navy’s largest phase of aviation training. He has performed duties as: aviation detachment operations officer, aviation and ground safety officer, administration officer, search and rescue officer and helicopter maintenance test pilot. Mr. White is currently employed as a type-rated B-737 line pilot (former UAL instructor/evaluator pilot) for United Airlines based at Chicago’s O’Hare airport. His additional civilian work experience includes: Manufacturing Engineer and Process Improvement Manager, International Paper Company and Captain CE-560, NETJETS Inc. (formerly Executive Jet Aviation Company). He has served as the 731st Airlift Squadron CRM (Crew Resource Management) specialist-facilitator as well as the designated 731st Airlift Squadron Aviation Ground Safety Officer. Lt Col White is a past member of Wooster Rotary and served as member of the Wooster City Board of Zoning Appeals appointed by the mayor, city of Wooster, Ohio. Lt Col White is married to the former Ms. Rose Marie McCain, LT USNR-USNA Class of 1987; they reside in New Carlisle, OH. The Whites run a family business, Homestead Feed & Supply, and are active in the community. They attend Crossroad Baptist Church in New Carlisle. Mr. and Mrs. White have five children: Samantha and Jonathon who reside in Loveland, CO; Paul who is currently an air national guardsman stationed at the Springfield OH ANGB and Patrick and Stephen White who live at home and attend Northwestern Local Schools.
