Welcome to my campaign website and to a great campaign. 

      We're overdue for change in the Fifth District, and we're about to bring it.

      We're in the final stretch now.  Enthusiasm continues to grow for the change that we're trying to bring to this District.

      For four long and painful years my opponent has used the office that we bestowed on him to pursue his own political ambitions. 

      After four years in office, he has no recognized legislative expertise, has shepherded through the Congress no significant legislation, and works poorly with leadership on the Hill.   Not having spent any significant time in this District before his first run for office from here, our current Congressman still spends little time in our District, or in the District of Columbia, for that matter. 

     If you want to find Rahm Emanuel these days, look for him on the Sunday morning talk shows, sound biting the ankles of his Congressional colleagues in the pages of the New York Times or sniping someone between the shoulder blades in a press releases. Where you won't find him is in the District, or with his sleeves rolled up and working for us in the U. S. Congress.  

     This isn't the first time we've been shortchanged either.  Remember who we charged with representing us before it was Rahm Emanuel? Rod Blagojevich.  Jeez, what did we ever do to deserve this!?

       We have more than enough issues in this District that need to be addressed by a full time Congressman.  Of concern to us all are issues national security, education, the economy, the environment and transportation.  We need a full time Congressman working for us, not just for himself. 

      If enough of you will honor me with your vote, that is the kind of representation that we're going to get again. For a change.
